I was 8 years old and deeply in love with music. I was lucky to be raised by a musician who exposed her kids to all of it.
Growing up, I would sing Hey Jude, followed by Lynn Anderson's Rose Garden, the theme of The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, throw a little Motown in, then finish with Detroit Rock City. lol
I've kept that love my entire life and hope that head banging is what takes me out! 😂

I was 11 in '72. I miss the 70's. The simpler, innocent times.

I lived at home 🏠. Mother's Day was on May 14.. Aunt Edie came to our house in Covina; the next day Dad was unable to wake Mom up. She was in a coma 10 days until May 25, 1972. Mom Sylvia died of breast cancer that night. All these songs remind me of the good times that we had all that time
That we had when Mom was here❤ I left home on August 14 1972. It would been Mom's 43rd birthday.. i
I was 20 y.o. Some of the music reminds me of my friends . Ellie Joy 😊

I remember the 72 Olympics on TV (b & w) here in Australia. I was 11 and as soon as the news came on about the Olympics, my mother shooed me out of the room. Many years passed until I came across the reason she did this. I am glad she did. Just music and memories of the child I was.

I was 10 in 72 and it’s like it was yesterday I was listening to every word of every one of these songs on our huge console stereo. Man that thing was the shit in its day. You could play records, 8 tracks, and had both am AND fm and looked like a quality piece of furniture. They should make them again with todays and yesterdays methods of delivering songs all in one huge system.
