You can see the pixels on the screen of the iPhone anyway, if you look close enough. The 300 PPI mark is when you can't see individual pixels from average viewing distance.

they do, it was released a few days ago, you can get 4G in the UK, although the pricing is ridiculous

Google knew this phone was going to be VERY unpopular and was ready for the backlash. And despite my low opinion, at least they did make it affordable. It's much easier to accept when you know ahead of time that your buying a phone that is so drastically limited in every way. After all, carriers aren't trying to advertise low end phones as premium devices. So by them pricing their device as the lower end phone that it is, they're at least being fair.

Critical Thinking: As much as he bashed T-Mobile, he forgot to mention that T-Mo is the only carrier that has been faithful to Google since the Nexus One, he forgot to mention that T-Mo is the only carrier to have UNLIMITED data and cheapest. He forgot to mention that the main reason the phone doesn't have Verizon LTE is because Verizon pushed back the release of the Galaxy Nexus to let the Droid Razr release 1st, they also released OTA updates to Galaxy Nexus users later than Google hoped for.

T-Mobile doesn't have LTE yet and i don't have problems running Netflix anywhere. plus i never worry about overage which Netflix usually does on other carriers other than Sprint and T-Mobile. and maybe i'm missing something but what's the 15 minute wait before you can connect to wifi for? it's like a tick of a setting and you're connected to your wifi or any wifi for that matter.

Jon, there's a reason why Google did what they did. They wanted to release a phone that would be fully open to android and no hiccups. With the Galaxy Nexus on Verizon, customers had to wait on Verizon to tinker with that OS update before pushing it out to customers. Google is trying to stop that by not putting LTE inside the device.

I agree with you John. A flagship device should ship with flagship specifications and LTE would be one of the biggest requirements.

I wasn't talking about Jon, I'm talking about people in the comments saying it's fine that it doesn't have LTE. That's why I said "Make up your mind PEOPLE."

It's because LTE isn't that important when replaced with HSPA+ 42, seeing as though it bring similar speeds without the battery drain. The reason everyone bashed Apple for not using LTE before was because the only other option was 3G, which is terribly slow compared to HSPA+ 42. Even if you were on AT&T with the iPhone 4S, you still only had HSPA+ 14, which is only slightly better than 3G and nowhere near LTE or HSPA+ 42. Plus the iPhone is 3x the price of the Nexus 4 unlocked.

I agree with Jon. I can get the Note 2 on contract for the same price as the Nexus 4, except with the Note 2 I get more internal storage, microSD support (with a 64GB card), LTE radio, wacom digitizer + SPen, beautiful superamoled non-pentile display, swap-able battery, physical home button, and a larger battery.

They wanted to created an equal experience for ALL Nexus 4 users. Battery, coverage, & software updates can really effect nexus user.

Take the Galaxy Nexus, it has a different experience for everyone; some is far worse than others. They want to eliminate that until they can get a handle on battery problems, LTE becomes a standard and doesn't require 2 radios and offers more coverage around the world, and when they release an update it'll go to all Nexus devices at the same time

completely agree. and guys don't get mad a john. this is a rant, not news. this is his opinion/ frustration. he is right that a phone in 2012 should have lte. it is unacceptable for a phone to not have that. especially a flagship.

And now that I watched the full vid, well played Jon, nice ploy for a 5 minute long Netflix ad.

Thanks for pointing out what I am complaining about? This is an international phone. It is ridiculous to only look at this phone at a single Country perceptive. Not only that, there will only be one version of this phone for the whole world, allowing there to be a huge community for the device. This is priceless compared to slightly increased speeds for higher prices (and yes it would be higher prices even for non LTE - that's how business works, lots of negotiations for the phone etc...)

Good luck with the new phone! The S4Pro is an absolute beast, especially in graphical benchmarks.

And I really do appreciate google releasing an unlocked phone at this price point, as it gives people the choice of a high end phone to use on less restrictive, cheaper carriers.

Thanks, and yeah the benchmarks of the S4 Pro that I've seen are Insane haha. Good luck with the Note!

Nexus 4 has a specific market made for one thing. Pure Android experience. Including LTE would have caused issues with pushing updates to phones due to the fact that multiple versions would have been made for different carries. Google researched what people used most on their phones, and it was WiFi, and came to the decision that it would be best to keep one model so that everyone around the world could get the update at the same time. Not to mention LTE only covers about a fifth of the US...

The nexus 4 is not aimed primarily for the US. Its meant to be a world phone where u could use it anywhere in the world.
