This is absolutely correct.. I agree with you 100%. We as end-users are so consumed nowadays with the SPECS that we forget the actual core features/benefits the thing offers. Great video.

The main reason I watch your videos is due to your unbiasedness.
I think that this video shows a lot seeing as how you are not explaining how the biggest and most powerful phones are ruling the marketplace but each phone can suit an individual person which clarifies why the Galaxy S Minis are selling so well for example. (eg to the low end ((majority)) purchasing community)

I agree totally. As someone who cannot upgrade every year, and when I do I far from a chance to pick the latest and greatest, I finally got to understand that a phone nowadays does so many things, how fast is not that much important. At the moment, and with the technology available, the only thing really limiting users is the platform, the OS.

I totally agree with you Jon. Like my sgs3 sprint version has a 1.5 ghz dual core processor, which doesn't seem like a whole lot of processing power, but it still runs as good as a sgs5 and the 720p screen is still stunning. I think that a lot of people, like you said, forget what these slightly older phones can do.

Great video, as all of your rants and it is true what you say, speed does matter but we are too focused on specs to take time to look at a different approach like the Moto X. Congratulations on your fantastic channel.

Nothing wrong with self analysis. We are quite spoiled here in the modern tech age. We simply have become accustomed to bigger, better and faster because these companies keep making bigger better faster. The technology we have today truly is amazing. Now if we could just stop killing each other.

Agreed. The things my phone can do still amaze me and I've been in the industry since the beginning. And my phone is still blazing fast. No reason to upgrade no matter how much I may want to.

Diffently something to really think about, in perspective to all the technology we have access to. It also is a branding thing from all the tech companies, saying buy this or buy that, simply because it maybe does something different or better.

I got a 4S shortly after it came out and I am still happy with it. And when the 5S comes out I will get it and I'm sure be blown away by the double speed upgrade etc.

i get you Jon. i'm trying not to cry over specs myself... i have a GS3 and i love it... have a lil GS4 envy sometimes, but my gs3 still does everything i want it to do and i still find new things about it.

I have a Galaxy Ace 2. Just upgraded to it in April. Soon after having it I had S3/4 and Nexus 4 envy. All the smartphone videos are always done on the top-end "flagship" devices. Well my Ace 2 still has the full power of Android, runs smooth enough and compared to my last phone (BB Curve 8520) it feckin SCREAMS!!

I'm done with phone envy. I may not be able to play Xbox 360 clone games or watch 1080p video but i can do damn near everything else and I appreciate that.
