Corporations inundate us with thousands of pages of Terms of Service agreements, knowing we won't read them. Within these extremely lengthy documents is language notifying you that your data is theirs and the messages you send are their property. And the worst part is.... you agreed to it all.
This is called 'Surveillance Capitalism," and it refers to the ubiquitous monitoring of everyone's data in pursuit of a "better user experience."
