When you grew up in the '90s and the new shocking news is literally the same thing the textbooks had when you were in elementary school

"Nicknamed the basement of history"? Never, not once, have I ever heard it called anything else but the Grand Canyon.

I am surprised that there is no mention of the caves where Egyptian artifacts were discovered and then the area marked as off limits to all!

Many years ago I took a exciting trip on a mule down the side of the canyon and learned what faith is all about. Starting off I had to keep my eyes on the wall and could not endure looking at the 1000 foot drop off on the other side of our 3 foot wide path. Once you start there is no turning back and the mule is in complete charge however after about a half hour your faith in your companions slow and sure footed descent is restored and you then can look and truly enjoy the absolute awesome beauty that God has laid before you.

What is terrifying? Possibly a trick to get you to view. Mining and dams have multiple issues. If you tear down dams where is the water going to come from to replace? Desalination? It uses lots and lots of power. Mining provides metals and minerals which need to come from somewhere. Uranium is a tough one. I wouldn't want anything to do w one. We should remember water is precious and not waste it.

The picture of the box being lifted out of the water isn't even part of this video. I hate it when they click-bate you into watching this video. Just wasted 27 minutes of my time!

My husband and I have visited the Grand Canyon twice. The South rim the first time, 2 years ago, November 2021 and the North rim in September 2023. We were and still are both in awe at the beauty and splendor of that amazing wonder. Yes, the landscape is definitely a challenge, especially if you are used to flat surfaces but the glory and beauty of this area is something we will treasure forever.
You must have total respect for the landscape. One wrong step and you could fall off the edge. But don’t let that danger discourage you from visiting. Just stay alert and follow the rules, you will be able to enjoy one of the many splendors of this beautiful world.

We visited the Grand Canyon and it was the most scariest place I've even been. You get close to an open area and you feel your equilibrium out of control! Maybe because I suffer from vertigo, so when I got close, I had my husband hold me and walk me back up to the parking lot with my eyes closed. I would have fainted if he didn't hold me tight and walked me out of there. However, we took a jeep ride to the Colorado River, and this was a fantastic experience! What a monster river that was. We had to get a special permit as we were going to cross a Native American Reservation's town. Overall, if you suffer from Vertigo, don't get too close as many people have fallen over to their deaths, it's a fact. A book is available that tells you exactly how many people have fallen over accidentally.

From someone who earned a living in a mining related industry it will sound hypercritical of me to say this but how many high grade small production patches are out there. Until it is a necessity these areas should be left alone. As for the indigenous peoples they should be left alone and those who have the privilege of visiting their homes should do so with the same respect that they would expect of a visitor to their homes.

I would like to know more about the box they say they found and the reason why they didn’t open it ? doesn’t make sense of why they wouldn’t open it

So why do you show something pull out of the canyon but it’s not in the documentary at all? What’s the purpose? We see this photo expecting to see what was taken out of the ground and yet there is nothing shown in this doc big disappointment 😢 please never ever show a picture of false information unless it is actually in your documentary!

Scientists were shocked when they discovered, more rock and sand along the walls of the Grand Canyon. They rediscovered water marks along the canyon walls, indicating different water levels. Upon further inspection, they found evidence, that humans had lived on Earth in close proximity to their studies. They received grants to aid in larger fundraising events that helped ensure future job safety.

It's pronounced "Mug-ghee-own" for Mogollon Rim or Mountains. And as a former resident of Yavapai County, AZ: I've NEVER EVEN HEARD of this "monster" the clip mentioned.

I used to run all day. In the mountains around Boulder, I have seen human footprints in rock. In Michigan, I have seen footprints in rock. In Smyrna, GA, I saw little tiny Lilliputian footprints that would have been made by someone less than 1/2 inch tall. I had that rock in my livingroom for 10 years, but I haven’t seen it since I moved. It’s in a box somewhere.

Funny how of all the decades people have explored the grand canyon no body has ever discovered anything like that
