Denial of of the flood has caused science to misunderstanding the areas of the canyon. Much of the area is miles deep mud that washed over the continents. The river didn't dig out the canyon. That area is rising and tbe river maintains its level leaving a canyon.

Thank you for not giving credence to the Egyptian Grand Canyon theory. Urban legends show up in newspapers all the time. It's a fun story but it just won't go away. You also taught me things I didn't know about the fossils and the Giant Sloth cave. Being me, I'll have to read up on these discoveries.
