Regarding the rolling "R": Hitler was an Austrian, NOT a German...

I just started learning German and discovered it's actually one of the cutest languages on the planet. Not harsh at all!

I'm an American, and I never had much exposure to German, and what little I had heard sounded rather harsh to me - not necessarily angry, but not "pretty." But after obsessively watching Dark, I found German to be a much prettier language than it gets credit for. I've started learning it myself for fun, and am now strangely obsessed with learning about German culture - hence I love your videos! I find the really long German words fun and cute :D

In my opinion, German is one of the most beautiful languages. I'm studying Bulgarian, English, Russian and English. I enjoy German more than the others.

Funny story! My german boyfriend and I went to Kazakhstan. People speak Russian there. So him and I were talking while waiting in line at an amusement park. And then the girl who works there asked what language we were speaking. "It sounds so beautiful!". Needless to say she was very surprised to learn it was German :D

Yeah I agree, I found German actually a very soft-spoken language in everyday conversations. I mean if you tell anyone to say something in an aggressive tone it will sounds harsh no matter what the language so I don't think that is a fair assessment. But when Germans are angry the language can definitely accentuate that ..haha

I've loved the German language since I was a little girl. But, I grew up attending a German church in South Africa, so I had exposure to normal everyday German before I ever did with Hollywood German.

I now live in Germany, married to a German and speaking only German for the last (almost) 3 years. Never understood why Hollywood butchers the German language as they do :D
