His voice sounds like if Tony Soprano was mentally stable and had a healthy childhood.

The fact that he sounds nothing like Tony in real life furthers the point that his performance of Tony Soprano is the greatest in TV history

James was such a good dude. Sopranos ended and HBO gave him carte blanc to do basically whatever he wanted to do next and he decided to do a 2 part documentary series where he interviews soldiers who were disfigured in the middle east. He personally sat there and listened to their story. He was such a selfless man.

Tony Soprano might be the most perfectly cast character ever put to film.

He kinda reminds me of Gary Cooper... the strong, silent type.

I always forget he’s not actually Tony and when James talks in his actual voice it always throws me off.

RIP Mr. Gandolfini, you're sorely

He was a good actor but he never had the makings of a varsity athlete.

My son died at 29 years of age due to epilepsy, that was 7 years ago. Bittersweet watching this series again. We loved watching the series together when he was a young man. My son did great impersonations of Tony.

Love when he is Kevin Finnety and talks like this. Never knew it was an exaggeration!

Hearing his two different voices just shows how great of an actor and character he embodied. Will be missed!

I don't know why but James Gandolfini as a person seems surreal to me. I just can't imagine him as anything other than Tony Soprano. RIP.

When a actor plays his role so well that you have difficulty believing he is not actually the character in real life you know you have witness something incredibly special. James was One of the Most Talented actors to ever grace our screens. Rest in peace Big Guy.

The most perfectly cast character in history. Acted so well that it’s hard to believe Tony Soprano wasn’t a real person.

They were just scratching the surface with this man. Jim Gandolfini was a world class actor.
