I just bought a '13 Accord coupe with this engine. I've been trying to find out what I can about this engine and came across your video. Even though I don't really have oil dilution problems, I will probably check and change the pcv valve. Thanks for the info.

Older style PVC valves would rattle when shaken if they were'nt stopped up. You could unstop them with a solvent. The Honda PCV valve makes no noise when new. How can you tell it needs to be replaced?

I put Euro Spec 0w-20 oil rated for both gasoline and diesel engines in my accord since it was still burning oil after changing the Pcv valve. Almost 3500 miles since changing to euro oil and not a drop burned.

Hey great video as usual!! Your my 9th Gen accord video go to. I have a head gasket issue oil/ coolant mix and I searched all over and nothing. What's your price to repair? And possiblity you can make a video for others since I don't see any.

Personally, I never had an issue with mine; bought at 32k and traded back in around 89k mi. I did do other maintenance myself, like cleaning the intake sensors and I replaced that PCV valve at around like 70-71k miles I believe.

I didn’t run high mileage engine oil at first, but gradually did as I passed up 80k miles. I also began running some oil stabilizer additive a while back, but didn’t see any burning oil minus me romping on the car to death (I had the 6MT model) and consuming a reasonable amount of motor oil for how I drove.

Hey hi I'm a new subscriber. Appreciate ur channel. So I have a 2014 accord wanted to ask if serpentine belt squeaking when I start it but stops squeak when car warms up mean its time to change belt? Or is it a pully issue. Will be changing my pcv valve by the way. Thanks for this quick fix on oil burning. 💯👍

I thought it was only the earth dream engine with turbo’s that burn oil like the HR-V. I haven’t notice my 2013 accord engine burning any oil and it’s at 112, 000 miles.
