All the antibiotics that they give to the animals in the animal agriculture business is a major issue. All of this helps in creating new strands of super bugs because humans then ingest these products. Most antibiotics go to the animal agriculture, which beats human consumption of antibiotics.

David, out of your list of reasons for the emergence of drug resistant strains of microbes, only the last reason would apply - not taking the full course of medication to treat the disease. All the other reasons you listed would account for the spread of the disease, not the microbe's evolution to resist antibiotics.
