I've been doing HVAC work for a few years on mostly family units. Just got through replacing a worn out York outside condenser unit with an almost worn out Goodman. I consider myself a rookie and still learning. I learn mostly from youtube and occasionally I am fortunate enough that someone with knowledge will allow me to ask questions. I also have the SMAN. I first thought that you were wrong until I thought it through. Now I see how you used the high valve. I've been wishing for a hose with a cut-ooff really need it now. Thank you!!!! 😀

I appreciate all your videos on hvac and electrical work. These subjects are my two favorites to learn about with the maintenance of my house! See you on the net! Robert

Man...technology is great. I need these gauges. Yes im still analog with add on micron gauge. I dont mind the simple math for super heat and sub cool. These kids coming in have it made!

Just curious what about the schrader valves which stop freon pressure getting out down your lines your pulling vaccume on. Wont that mean the vac pump is pulling on those closed valves? Or did you use some way to open those when connecting your lines? SCRATCH THAT ive just seen your other video testing pressures... and see there is a valve opener built into the line.

It wasnt thorough enough I'm still curious about some things. I like when you make a video from start to finish.

Appion SPDKIT-V - Vacuum Speed Kit MegaFlow. Use this instead of your manifold. Also you need to use valve core removal tools so you can pull your vacuum without Schrader valves which a causing a restriction when you are vacuuming.

@Benjamin Sahlstrom, at 4:14 you are opening the two valves. Why were they closed? Is it necessary to close them first, then pull the vacuum on the lines that go inside the house?

Thanks answered my questions 😊

Vac 101 question. Some videos show only the low pressure blue line going into the fluid line side . Will that also vac the larger vapor side line too? Txs. Great videos.

Sorry to sound stupid but I’m not understanding. When you started the service valves were seated down but after vacuuming you turned them to seat in the up position? When do they get returned to original position?

I have YET to find a video describing this process that will tell you if the cut off valves on both the low and high sides remain closed or if one needs to be opened. EVERY video assumes the viewer knows this. It may seem like common knowledge, but if people knew would they be watching this video?

Buy hoses with ball valves in them. Great for charging units and not having to release the contents of your hoses and manifold into the atmosphere.

You'll achieve a much better vacuum, much faster with a 3/4 inch trublu vacuum rated hose. I've got one and never looked back.

So the Schrader valves don't have to be removed?
