One of my favorite Mac songs. This is a good live version too.

i always thought this song was introspective and about drugs and not actually a girl. he does this with a lot of his music. especially considering his open struggles with drug use and depression. i really hear it in these lines.

“i won’t hurt you, don’t you worry,
listen to me, imma set you free,
he ain’t gonna break your heart again,
go through the reach the ecstasy,
when your imaginations on pretend”

it sounds like he’s talking to the girl/the drugs. but it really sounds like he is talking to himself. mac is the object in the mirror. he is telling himself he won’t hurt himself anymore. that he wants to set himself free. help himself and get away from the drugs. and that he breaks his own heart seeing what he does to himself.

i love his creativity, his honesty, and his music. this song will always be a favorite to me. that’s again for the review. hopefully you’ll dive into more mac! and i hope this explains the object in the mirror

genuinely don’t think i’ve been more excited and happy then i was when i saw you reacted to this. not only is it a mac miller reaction, but i’ve been listening to it recently.

if i’m being honest i haven’t even seen this live version, so it was like watching it for the first time with you, but wow it was still so good. might be better than the studio version. the band, especially the drums, made this incredible.

you definitely need to react to more mac miller on this channel, and more often! great reaction once again.
