The fact that finally everyone is talking about this is a good thing.

I Can Hire Half the Working Class To Fight the Other Half - American CEO Jay Gould, and firm believer that anything that keeps Americans fighting over the tiny scraps that fall off the table while he feasts is a good thing.

Worked for a huge corporation and they employed dozens of DEI advocates whose job it was to fly to fun places like Hawaii, Montana, etc and promote selecting minority and women owned businesses- they had huge travel budgets. As compliance officer I had to ensure buyers wrote lengthy justifications when they only solicited bids from only white male owned businesses and then they had to obtain extra signatures. We had quotas to meet for soliciting & subcontracting with minority & women owned businesses!!! It was obvious discrimination against white men and cost the corporation millions of dollars that were passed along to the government (taxpayers). NO value was added to the products nor to the schedules. Wasted $$$$

I am confident that the Chinese and Japanese are not implementing DIE.

Gawd I thought we were going to have to listen to Krystal's opinion for a second.

DEI “training “ is a major reason I was anxious to retire- it’s so nauseating to be
made to feel guilty for being white! Something I cannot control. I think it had the opposite effect on people as we felt it took us away from our work for a non value added meeting, it was repetitive and too frequent. I have never discriminated and yet made to feel guilty; truly resented that!

In my experience in my company, people who get elevated by DEI, are always the first ones to get laid off.

This has been weaponized. I work for a Non-Profit that lost out on a six figure grant because our board of directors was not "diverse" enough, so the CEO said that would have to change for no other reason than to be able to compete for more grants.

As someone who had to pretend to be a DEI advocate in a large American defence company in the UK, we NEVER considered poor or underprivileged white people as a group to support or post about on LinkedIn. It was always a rainbow flag or non white race or female person we'd promote and give roles to. So we basically ended up with loads of middle class, privately educated minorities.

No Krystal, we don't want to hear your -thoughts- _feelings_ about what Saagar said.

How McKenzie works: tell them what you want, then they will miraculously come up with the exact same conclusions with a whole lot of unintelligible justification that no one will actually read or verify and then tell everyone that the consultant came up with it rather than have the balls to tell the truth yourself. Mystery solved.

Went through the standard corporate DEI training several months ago. It was appaling. Interestingly the non white males were more appalled than whites at the blatant sexist, gender identity, and racist bent to the ideology being pushed. "too many white men in the meeting room" comments from trainers without any regard to little but cosmetics certainly turned most attendees off. Talent recognition was a universal desire rather than cosmetics yet cosmetics were the focus. Sadly some hiring mistakes on fairly high levels were made on the basis of cosmetics leaving a disenfranchised mid management of all groups. And yes the company did have some silly DEI and ESG score that could be found online so the whole charade was in order to achieve some score that meant little to the people working there except grief and the knowledge that at that time playing politics clearly trumped running a well run organization that had the best chance of competing in our future.

DEI has basically become the Canadian state religion.

Diversity is a strength but when you try to force DEI through quotas and mandates you end up with with pictures of African and Asian Nazis, that's what Google taught us.

Wrote one of my term papers on DEI, and read all 4 of those from McKinsey. What you'll find is NO causal connection between diversity and the claims they made about diversity. Similarly, they did no legwork on identifying why some companies resisted diversity. These oversights are blatant compared to their other articles, which clearly define when something is casual, correlated, or neither, and tries to understand underlying reasons.

Forcing people out of their job and promoting a less qualified or experienced person is bad for everyone and the company

The entire thing is pretty insulting actually. That’s why I was never a fan of it. It’s like a pat on the back that they’re giving themselves for trying to “help” people who never earned it.

I wonder what the job prospects for my children will be when it’s their time. They’re half Hispanic, half white, they definitely got their dad’s fairer skin tone. I especially worry for my son, who will told any sign of masculinity is toxic, he’s to blame for all of society’s problems, and can’t have an opinion as a white man.

As a Latina, I hate DEI.

My favorite part of a Saagar clip is when it cuts off right before Krystal would have chimed in 😊

DEI is horrible for any business. Imagine picking the entire US soccer team based on color? Good luck winning the world cup
