See, the Galarian birds are interesting to me, because despite the similarities, the dex entries imply that they have no ACTUAL relation to the original birdies, and that just tickles the inquisitive part of my brain.

I think the most legendary that they felt was in either Pokemon 2000 (movie) or Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team, where they’re all bosses during the main story.

Also the Galarian Birds Pokédex entries imply that they’re not the Legendary Birds at all, they just have the same name and similar designs.

Grand Master Greevil having them was terrifying. Catching everything in one go without getting curb stomped by all their supereffective moves is an insane challenge.

I mean the birds being able to randomly spawn in lets go is really freaking cool. I still remember randomly finding one in the sky and being so confused. 😂

I think the birds were meant to be powerful but very rare Pokémon, as opposed to most other Legendaries where there's a select number if not one per universe.

I think there’s actually supposed to be more than one of some legendaries. Like the birds, volcanion, and heatren. They’re just very rare.

Not to mention the fact that these guys have a connection to Lugia but it’s never specifically stated for what that reason is. Like seriously Ho-oh made the Legendary dog trio but Lugia is just there with them for some reason. For example: not only Pokémon 2000 had Lugia squared up against the three of them but in XD Gale of Darkness, both Lugia and the three birds were shadow Pokémon and there’s even raid in Pokémon GO that have all four of them together. I feel like GameFreak is trying to pair them up but also trying not to at the same time. 🤨

A fact what I really like about Articuno is that Articuno can technically be immune to all one hit KO moves

I have the running theory they are mutants of specific gen 1 birds. Articuno is a pidgeot, moltes is a fearow, and zapdos is a dodrio. This theory formed during the Sw/Sh dlc reveals,

Forgot about their importance in Rescue Team, where you need all 3 to get Lugia's dungeon. Also Moltres and Articuno attack you while you're a fugitive, which is very fun for you.
