Probably just me but the scene in "Fantastic Mr Fox" where they meet the wolf is just beautiful

There should be a Studio Ghibli edition, those movies have the most beautiful animated shots

It's crazy how much you overlook how beautiful these movies were when you first saw them as a kid. My favorites are Coraline, Your Name, and The Incredibles.

Literally every single scene in How to Train Your Dragon where they're flying over water is a masterpiece in every way possible. Every time a scene like that pops up, I always say
"THAT WATER THOUGH!!!"

If you make a part 2 you could include: The Iron Giant, The Prince of Egypt, Treasure Planet, Kiki's Delivery Service, Loving Vincent, Isle of Dogs, Big Hero 6, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and 9. All of those movies are visually stunning and a lot are incredibly overlooked.

I hope part II includes The Iron Giant, the plagues scene from Prince of Egypt, the wagon scene from Spirit or the white wolf from Balto...

Grave of the Fireflies really impacted me a lot, just the general meaning and sadness of it really got to me, and it’s one of those movies I never forgot. But these movies were all my childhood... even though I grew up in the 2000s, I still watched almost all of these movies. I miss them so much :(

I would add some from Persepolis, The Prince of Egypt (this one's STUNNING), waltz with Bashir, and The triplets of Belleville. You're video is really great, I think it would be good to show some movies that are out of the US-Japan production axis for the second part :D Thank you again for your vid

End of Evangelion is a must for any "most beautiful" list. Absolutely astonishing animation throughout

That clip was the perfect ending. And yes omg that shot from Ratatouille. I’d have expected you to use the one where Remi sees Paris for the first time but using the one with Anton Ego (I think the scene where he does the review) which is aesthetically beautiful but very underrated, well played! Also Ego’s office is my aesthetic I love the dark colors and the elegant vibe.

I hope part 2 includes the hunchback of notre dame. The sanctuary scene as well as the grand cathedral shots are amazing

A beautiful, wonderful compilation, but may I suggest some shots for part 2 ( if you'll ever create one - and I really hope you will ) ?
The Little Mermaid: the ending of Part of Your World, when Ariel jumps on the rock and the wave crashes over her and also when she sings to Eric on the beach and he sees her face with this halo of light around it.
Anastasia: Once Upon a December scene when dancing pairs appear from the ballroom windows.
Tangled: the moment when Rapunzel jumps from the tower and is spinning in the air, suspended by her hair and the entire gorgeous see of lanterns.
Coraline: Coraline's face made out of flowers appearing on The Other Side's garden.
Spirited Away: Chihiro and Haku falling down to the sea as he transforms from dragon to human.
Kubo and Two Strings: when evil sisters of Kubo's mother appear for the first time.
Your Name: the opening sequence of a meteorite falling through the clouds.
Princess Kaguya: Kaguya running out of her mansion and loosing all of the layers of clothing behind her.

Technically doesn't count as animation since it's also live action, but in The Lego Movie when Emmet is confronting President Business, there's two match cuts made to Finn and The Man Upstairs. The way they perfectly transition between reality and imagination is just beautiful.
