What makes this funnier is Rick knew of the parasite’s existence BEFORE the episode even started because he immediately knew “uncle Steve” was one but he still didn’t know their weakness which makes Morty figuring it out even more impressive

The parasites all come in varying shapes and sizes but their main schtick was the same; being a completely new character introduced to help increase the show's rating and are so flawless that hardly any character hates them, effortlessly ingratiating themselves into the established dynamic in no time at all
