I don’t care how much college will cost me. Im turning 30 this year and I am going towards my goal in becoming a dentist. The college debt I might acquire is a small price to pay in order to reach my dream.

It's always been and always will be who you know.

College makes sense where government licenses are required to legally perform your work duties. STEM is also helpful to have labs and hands on help.

Don’t get the impression that opportunities like these are so common that everyone can get one.

I have a bachelor's and master's degree. I first worked as a middle school teacher and then in Higher Education where WITH my master's degree, I made $42k. I left it all in 2019 and trained myself on Trailhead for Salesforce (mentioned in the story). I now work as a Program Manager for a tech start-up that uses the Salesforce platform, and on day one my salary doubled....after 23 years in education. I don't use my bachelor's or master's at all in my new tech career.

Sometimes I love and hate news. They didn’t even say how long the program takes to complete compared to college seems like pretty important information to just leave out.

An education is never going to be a bad investment. Promotions are based on one's educational achievement(s) aside from experience.

College is not for everyone. It's always your not qualified or over qualified. They make it like you have to go to college to get better pay. It's not like in the 80's or 90's. It's about who you know to get in the door. You can go intern but they already have someone in their mind you probably never going to get a job.

Before college 50k per year working as a certified and licensed power plant operator. After college 150k per year as an engineer. I'd say it was worth every penny.

Degree from a private university is not worth it.

Being born as a human is enough to say you are precious & priceless since your birth.

However, this man-made artificial economic/financial system doesn't know how to work with such precious & priceless things because it wants everything to have value. So, in a "job market" eventually people get valued which is absurd, yet inevitable.

IMO, with or without anything else, just being a good human being is more than enough.

If you want to be a doctor or nurse it's worth borrowing for money for college.

While debating whether a degree is important or not, here is something important to know; invest in cryptocurrencies so you can gain financial stability to pursue your dreams.

College....A surefire way to get yourself in stressful, unforgiving debt for the rest of your life.

I see the problem a little differently. I've noticed that employers in certain fields want the degree and others in the same field don't care. That part I understand, the issue is that in 5-10 years who knows if the rules will change and they may all of a sudden say they want the degree. Now the 30 year old is 40 and less willing to continue their education and they become unsuitable. I saw this happen in my profession. At first an associates was adequate to get hired, 22 years later the same employer will only accept bachelors degree holders. Say what you will but having the degree is an insurance policy. The same like life though, if you can't afford the insurance policy then you're rolling the dice.

I earned $90, 000 cnc machinist just in 6 years. I left that field and went into printing. I worked at sigwerk for 5 years starting up ink labs for customers that owned large printing company. I made custom ink for their designs. Sigwerk paid me $130, 000 yearly. I didn't have chemistry degree.
