Fix HELLDIVERS 2 Crash to desktop CTD,Fix HELLDIVERS 2 Crash on Startup PC,Fix HELLDIVERS 2 Crashing, Freezing & Black Screen Issue on PC
Step 1) Restart Steam, restart PC
Step 2) Run the game as an administrator from the game installation folder, also compatibility mode
Step 3) Run Steam as an administrator, try running game as an administrator
Step 4) Install Visual C++ files
Step 5) Disable Steam Overlay, disable overlay in Discord, GeForce Experience, Nvidia shadow play overlay, AMD overlay), Disable Image scaling in GeForce Experience, Close all the overlay app (Discord, GeForce Experience etc)
Step 7) Uninstall and reinstall the nProtect GameGuard
Step 8) Uncheck DLC in Steam
Step 9) Verify the game files
Step 10) Do a clean installation of graphics driver
Step 11) Laptop users with dual graphics card: Run the game on dedicated graphics card
Step 12) Allow the game to Antivirus program and Windows Security
Step 13) Try these in launch options
-dx11
-dx12
Step 14) Rename/Delete the save game files (You will lose all the game progress)
Step 15) Update Windows 10/11 to the latest version
Step 16) Increase the Virtual Memory:
View Advanced system settings
Initial Size: 1.5 x Total Ram
Maximum Size: 3 X Total Ram
Step 17) If able to launch the game, disable crossplay, switch to windowed mode and lower down graphics settings
Step 18) Update System BIOS
Step 19) Uninstall the game, delete the game files, restart your PC and reinstall the game to C Drive/Another SSD

A shame such a game runs like shit.
It's really fun until you're in the middle of an intense cool battle and your game just closes on you leaving you with nothing. Hope it improves because the gameplay is satisfying as fuck.

Admin didn't work, turning off dan controllers didnt work and of course verify through steam didnt and i have a high end pc

This may help... I had the same issues as most (if not all) of y'all have experienced. When I would change my graphics settings in-game my GPU/CPU usage never changed. I suspect my GPU running at 98% is the issue.

The fix (possibly, no crash for ~2 hours): Go in to Geforce Experience. Select HellDivers 2. Customize your graphics through that. I chose a medium setting. Launch Helldivers through it as well. My GPU is now running at ~48%. So far, no issues.

As a PlayStation master race member who started playing a week ago, helldivers is easy as hell to play on the PS5. Literally did not realize there were issues making it impossible to play. Downloaded it on my girlfriend’s laptop and what the hell. Sony is dirty for this. The number of issues and workarounds necessary to play would make me throw my head through a brick wall for better results. I’ve been trying every step on every YouTube video I’ve come across and haven’t found ‘the’ solution yet. I’ll try this video as soon as I get home but I’ve done half of it already so fingers crossed. It’s failing on startup too. Not even getting to the game.

I fixed my game by manually capping the FPS on my GPU. The game will run itself hard without this limitation. I was consistently getting blue screen crashes- it seems to have been solved for the moment. I was consistently crashing every 5-10m, just played for 90 without issues. Hope this helps

Fixed it with memtest86, found errors, was not ram fault but was the XMP overclock, my Asus x99a motherboard was supposed to support 3200 MT/s ram but somehow it does not work, the ram is rated for XMP 3200MT/s, I used Asus Easy Tune within the bios and it set XMP to 2446 MT/s and now Helldivers 2 works perfect and memtest86 finds NO error, good luck to you all, its a great game.

PC user here. Any suggestions for game crashing when in a cross-platform party, besides the obvious turning off cross-play. I would like to be able to play with my friends. Game runs generally fine besides some audio issues when in larger fights and more action is going on. While playing with PS players game crashes seconds to minutes of dropping in on the map.
