I love the argument that these boxes were from pre-Egyptian civilization since the Boxes are SO perfectly cut-shaped, then obviously later the Egyptians did a hack-job level of work on the hieroglyphs. Honestly, looks like someone sloppily scratched those on the box with crooked lines. Definitely not at the same level of craftsmanship of the actual boxes themselves.

The answer is, like it or not, a more advanced culture that actually built Egypt. And the dynastic Egyptians came later. End of subject.

One theory in a nutshell is that there was in fact advanced machinery that can't be found. Some researchers estimate some of these mysterious stone artifacts appeared to be made with large saws or core drills, some 25, 000 to 35, 000 years ago.

Let's say that a large meteor fell and melted a large area of arctic ice to create a catastrophic flood that literally buried ancient civilization under hundreds, maybe thousands of feet of mud and sand. Now let's say that this machinery that was used to cut or shape stone was composed of iron based materials (steel) and had oxidized over some 30, 000 years.

Wouldn't all that machinery have turned into rust and maybe even washed away to turn into rust? Even machinery that has been left outside for just a few hundred years are mostly oxidized - gone. Iron based materials would be entirely oxidized after less than 5, 000 years or so. But stone artifacts would remain intact.

Just a thought.

'The spiral grove' is caused by an unbalanced tool & the depth of the tool changing the angle of the leading edge of the blade through a 'depth of cut - total height of tool ratio' -
it'll make the edge walk around the workpiece as it goes deeper, make a spiral if you keep going.
