I'm a firm believer in applying penetrating oil to these types of rusted assemblies.
If time allows, I'll let them sit, them smack 'em with a hammer later.
I think rear tires are the worst, when they get rusted onto an axle.
But Taryl has an excellent way to remove those with a pneumatic driver with a pointed bit.
THANKS TARYL!

I have watched all of your videos at least twice or more and when I saw the title of this new one I knew in advance you had already taught me this and there wasn't even any comedy element to it BUT I STILL WATCHED because I'm just inspired by your channel and all of your staff and every Sunday I can't wait for me some Mustie1 and then the master of all things lawn and garden equipment related Taryl Fixes All. Oh there are others some across the pond and up north drinking some good ale and beer. But as far as I'm concerned You are #1

Taryl, you have the best channel on YouTub. Bar none. I don't really care about lawn mowers that much, either. I find your videos to be excellent and funny.

Classic small engine stuff right there. That's how it was taught in Small Engines Shop in school. Thanks for the video!

Working on a weed Eator and by goly I held it up by the flywheel, smacked the bolt with a bar a few times like you did and it worked, I’m speechless, earned yourself a new subscription

I followed your example and it worked for me. It took a few tries because in the beginning I used minimal prying pressure and increased pressure with each try. I wish I had known that 40 years ago.

Thanks for the demo Taryl. The engine i have is a 28 year old B&S off a Snapper. The centre shaft screwed out so i used a socket in the centre and as you said, one good tap and the flywheel was off. The only problem is that previously hammering the hub that holds the drive disk off the drive end, one of the magnets in the flywheel came off. Not the end of the world, it was because of the detached magnet locking up the crankshaft that i had to get the flywheel off. All because of a failed sump gasket. Thanks again.

I had the bolt threaded from the top kind. I was able to get off in around 10 mins after spending a lot of time trying everything else I could think of! Thanks a lot!

This video saved my bacon. I tried everything I could think of - multiple crowbars, flywheel puller, homemade puller, lots of penetrating oil - and then in desperation googled "How do I remove a flywheel from a B&S 24HP engine" and this video showed up. A few whacks with my 3lb sledge and it popped right off. I should have started there,
