Mr. Yoon is quite the ambassador and diplomat. He is the most well received foreign leader in the USA in the past 10 years. He delivered a speech of more than 20 minutes in English from memory without looking down at his papers. He touched on things that America and Korea both value most. Sacrifice of our soldiers, honoring their legacy through continued cooperation, upholding of democratic values. There are thousands of Korean War veterans still alive in the USA that I have spoken to. Not a single veteran has ever told me they regret fighting in the war despite losing so many friends in the hills of Korea. They all could have stayed home and enjoyed a long life after fighting in World War 2 only 5 years earlier. Seeing Korea prosper and attain a robust democracy after some struggles makes it all worth it. Korea is very welcome in the United States. I wish you the very best from USA.
