I have a 68 Honda 175 that hasn’t run since 1975. I’ve been trying to make it run for about 5 years. No luck. I think you are going to help breathe some life into this beautiful old bike.

I never subscribed before now because while electric bicycles were interesting, they weren't quite what I was looking for. This is exactly what I wanted to see so you definitely have my subscription now.

I know I already posted a comment but I'd like to add that I'm very pleased with the availability and price of these parts and the ease of use of all of the equipment and bits. Electric vehicles are becoming vastly more viable than they were even five years ago and I am very impressed

So happy to see you are reusing an old Honda. I've been a Honda guy since 1966 and will be following this project with great interest. Glad to see you will keep the tank and use it for another purpose. Can't wait to see the next steps. Also, cool that you recognize others may need parts you plan to sell.

I can't wait to see how this project turns out. I love the style of the old Hondas, and am almost salivating at the thought of an electric version.

Really looking forward to this. Fourty years ago this exact model was my first vehicle and I spent many hours trying to keep it going. Should have kept it for the conversion!

I had a Honda cub. They were fairly reliable for it's day but not for now. I had to push start mine often. The conversion will make a big difference.

I love that bike. I have wanted one for a long time. I am building an electric 1974 Rickman Zundapp electric assed conversion bike (no videos). if you could keep at least the muffler and heat shield part of the high pipe if possible, for cosmetic reasons, that would be great, because it is 50% of the cool style of this bike. one of my all time favorite bikes and electric VERY EXTRA GREAT!!!

You should leave the engine and just add the hub motor and make it a cool hybrid, gas/electric motorcycle. Then again, for "ME", I like options, like if I want to run off a battery or gasoline. You could also use the motor for regen braking to help with a disk brakes on the rear tire.

I've been hoping someone who knows more than me would build some thing like this and see how it goes. You can always remove the engine and go all electric, but to do some thing totally different would be cool if you ask me. Plus, you could use the motor to get going and start the engine so no more kicking or push starting either. haha Keep up the great work.

I saw a neat mod on a brush less conversion where the right foot brake was retained and the adjustable regen was wired into the clutch lever.

*My suggestion* is that you add a support under the tank where the motor is now for the battery pack, possibly a tall obtuse triangular shape that can be removable so you can take it in your apartment to charge but also it'll give you a good mounting point for pegs... This is more of a preference but you can get different bars to improve your riding position and maybe go w/ the delta/wye setup so you can surprise a few people but disguise it as a "turbo" switch (lol), plus it'll help keep whiskey throttle wheelies from happening cause those cubs have short rear ends. Thanks for the vid and keep up the good work¡!
