We've reviewed a lot of e-bikes on the channel but we have never reviewed an e-bike conversion kit ...until now. The Clip e-bike conversion kit is toolless and can completely transform a traditional bicycle in under 30 seconds. The Clip is perfect for those who love their bicycles and want a little extra boost.

In this video, we unbox, set up, provide a detailed walkthrough, and share what we love and hate about the Clip Ebike Conversion Kit.

I owned a friction drive before and they called it the ZAP . You must run a slick type of tire and would only work with a dry tire . As soon as the tire got wet it would slip and no longer grab the tire .

It would look so much better if it clipped to the rear wheel.

$499?! Nah! I can get a whole E bike for $599 on Amazon. Maybe $199 🤔

They sell rear wheel conversions that turn regular bikes into e-bikes. They also have gas motor kits for bicycles. 😎👍 Google is, sometimes, your friend.

I’d like it, I use my e-bike mostly for running errands in downtown, and I’m 62!

I got the go trax electric bike for 599. It has a colored display, front and back lights, disc brakes, great seat and 5 different pedal asst modes. Why would anyone pay 600 dollars for the clip. If it was 200 I could see the reasoning.

I can see someone loving it on their favorite bike and not loving it if they're used to an ebike already.

I like that it charges anywhere from 30-60 min depending on the model. That's pretty quick so the range doesn't seem as bad. I think the appeal is that you can put it on almost any bike.

Why did they decide to have it mounted on the front wheel? Why not connect it from the seat post to the back wheel? from an aesthetic, and functional POV it makes sense, you'd reduce a bit of the width as well.

I'd decorate it to look like a Unicorn Horn. Great for people who want to join in on an epic ride but need a little assistance, or kids who change bikes every year or so due to growing.

Wanna know what I would do with this...I would build a mount on the back of the bike, turn it around & stick it on the back wheel. That would be sick, especially if they made a more powerful one.

"Won't work with front suspension." That sentence killed it for most bikes right there. I guess it's geared toward Southern California Beach Cruisers. The application seems very niche. That's why they're so expensive. They'll sell twenty-five of them. Great review video though.

They had a similar one 40 years ago, but for 34 MPH and a lot of miles. I'll stick with the 26 inch front wheel electric. Plus I don't have to carry it around to keep it from being stolen like yours. Pretty good infomercial you made though.

How about a comparison video with some of the competitors such as Swytch? Power (race/time), range, price, etc.

I went to Ebike Essentials and purchased my 1000w Bafang kit and put it on my gravel bike. It was $1500 for everything including a battery. I've had it for 2 years with zero problems. My point is, spend the extra money and get something really really nice. These kits are just wonderful and almost too good to be true.

Right now, they have the price way down on the kit you can probably get everything for $1200 right now. It is definitely worth every penny and more. My Bike can get up to 35 mph on flat land and if you utilize the gears you can really get it to work for you.

A range of 6 miles?!? That wouldn't even get me to the supermarket and back

This is a pretty cool idea but it does look kinda silly. But very innovative and a step in the right direction.

It would look so much better on the rear tire. for 500 bucks you could also just buy a 250-350 watt hub kit and probably get better performance?

Its a very impressive item for what it is and how versatile it can be. Its more about design than performance
