At night, if you have your lights on, everyone outside can see you but you can see no one outside. Likewise if you have lights off, you can see everyone but no one can see you.
The point is, when that guy was smoking in the dark, he wasn’t just trying to stay hidden, he was looking to see everyone else in the cloak of darkness. That’s why I yelled at the screen to LBJ “turn your lights off, he’s staring right at you!”

The sequel “Nosey bastard” is a bit dull, the guy, 20 years older, is retired and just peeps out from behind his blinds at people going about their business. He eventually croaks slumped over his binoculars trained on a window he’s been watching for years. He’s my elderly neighbours.

This movie was ok for it's time I suppose but I just got done watching it and I would give 5/10 not suspenseful at all and the ending sucks
