I swear that line, "I was afraid if you understood how beautiful you are that you'd leave me" really got me!!!!

Amazing story I cried like I just lost him. My partner died during covid battling liver cirrhosis I was beside him, this movie made my wound fresh again. The same story of myself.

As a gay man who lost his husband of 40 years, I can relate to this beautiful story. Thank you Jim for putting this on film. What WE go through is often hidden. I love you for being who you are and for taking the reins and showing our lives. You have made us very happy and have given us much hope for the younger generation.

The line “and like all love stories, it never actually ends” sent chills down my spine

I'm a middle child who was obsessed with Christmas as a kid, had wonderful, supportive parents when I came out, and has seen Terms of Endearment probably 25 times. So I'm way, WAY in on this one!

"I'm scared that you'll break my heart eventually." This is called Anxious/Insecure Attachment. It stems from your trauma when you were a child trusting your parents of being there but then leaving & not coming back. In my case, an alcoholic father & a mother who had to "abandon" me to my grandma so she can work for money for me to go to school. A child and eventually an adult will have this anxiety of "I can't love too much because then they'd eventually leave me, which has happened too many times and I'm scared!" I have this but slowly breaking away from it through therapy. I hope therapy was accessible to everyone. I'm lucky enough that my company pays 70% of mine.

I bawled like a baby watching this, I knew I would too... Losing my mom to cancer, I can't imagine losing a significant other to cancer as well, especially one that you love so much... This was a beautiful movie, one of my faves from 2022... Thank you for sharing your story with us Michael Ausiello... Rip Kit Cowen...

Jim Parsons is such a great actor. That line, "get my husband a bed" broke my heart just like it did in Terms of Endearment.

Omg. SALLY. FIELD. An absolute Icon 👑
In my opinion the only other actress who can run circles around the Streep. 💁🏻‍♀️👏🏻
Sybil, Norma Rea, Steel freakin Magnolias, Mrs Doubtfire, Lincoln.. etc.. she’s got an incredible lineup. This woman has been in film since the 1960’s. She has all of my respect. One of the Mothers of Film. 🌹👑

I got to see an advance screening a few days ago. Loved it. I knew within the first 10 minutes I was going to love it. It's going to be one of my favorites of 2022. They gave out little promotional packets of tissues that said You might need these. Turns out I did, like trying to stifle back-of-the-throat sobs in a quiet theatre kind of ugly crying. A beautiful film.

You had me at Sally Fields. And yes, I teared up during the trailer. This hits home for me on so many level. I know exactly how he feels because I share these same emotions. Been left three time before (each time without warning or any specific reason, except twice they found someone else, younger... This is a MUST SEE for December! Brilliant!
