It's a great desk! I think you did a fine job. And you're right, don't count on the garage floor being flat. Make the desk fit the van.
If you open the drape beside the desk, you'll have some great daylight to work by. I didn't think I'd like the legs black, but I do. Good
choice.

Just a little advice on the next project. Use stops on the miter saw to get your legs exactly he same length. Then for floor could still be wonky. When you want the side aprons to be the same length, use a stop. When you want the front and back apron the same, use a stop. A stop can just be a piece of scrap and a clamp. The measurement May be off a bit but things will still come out square. When staining pine I always use a pre-conditioner to help with bolshiness.

Hey hun pro tip next time tape you cut tightly with painters tape to reduce the splintering when you cut it. Tape over where to cut center it with 2” tape the make your mark on the tape and cut the board slowly. And it’s not ugly it’s simple and handy. Also you’re so gorgeous, smart, and handy. You should be proud it’s perfect!! Do you know why it’s perfect? Because you built it with your hands and it does EXACTLY what it was intended to do perfectly!! Awesome job by one gorgeous woman.
