I PLAYED THE ENTIRE SERIES FOR THE FIRST TIME ON SWITCH HERES MY PROBABLY BIASED AND UNEXPERIENCED OPINION!


Kingdom hearts switch was actually my long awaited reunite with the series. I played kingdom hearts 1 as a kid for hours on end, later tho I switched to mainly playing Nintendo as I was well a kid. I've still stuck to Nintendo now and I've got to say having known only the first game for years I was quite blown away with the other games in the series. If you have an oled you can easily hook up the console to a Lan and even on a regular switch, Lan to USB adapters exist and work pretty well. Surprisingly the laggiest games in the cloud version are 358/2 days and oddly enough birth by sleep (keep in note I always played hooked up to Lan) . The only major issues I experienced were during some cutscenes slightly lagging but I'd say that was more of a game issue than a internet issue as I hadn't even a single lag happen during a kh3 cutscene. "So then why did my game constantly crash and glitch during the demo/my first time playing? Are you just biased and lying?" you may ask. Honestly cloud games are quite manageable as long as you're hooked up to Lan. I do have to say tho, being used to easily play wherever I want with my switch, but then having to sit down, turn on the TV and sit on a chair instead of my bed, can be quite jarring. Still tho, if you want to try kingdom hearts, but only want the switch version grab a LAN cable and possibly an adapter and you'll be fine. (THE PRICE TAG SUCKS THO NOT ONLY ARE ALL THE GAMES 80 BUCKS BUT YOU ALSO HAVE TO PAY FOR A LAN CABLE WHICH IN MY CASE HAD TO BE 20 METERS LONG!)

Square decided that with most fans already owning it on pc or other consoles they wouldn't get a significant return to justify native switch ports.

It's important to remember that the ps2 games code is frame dependent so hitting a locked 60 while undocked is a must, which is actually quite difficult to guarantee on a limited budget.
