Trading 101: What Makes A Stock Price Change?

For those of you who are brand new to the stock market and just getting started as a beginner in trading and investing, this is a common question I get. Sure, you may understand what the stock market is from a general context, but getting more details you may be wondering, what 'actually' makes a stock's price move? Yes, a stock will move up and down in value as time passes, but what is causing this to happen. Who determines the value of a price and why does it move? As a beginner trader and investor, these are the concepts you will need to fully understand if you want to make money and be successful in the stock market. Let's take a very simplistic approach to this question so you can have a full understanding of just how the stock market works in regards to the stocks themselves moving up and down in value.

Is it true that when price of a microcap or midcap goes high (upper circuit), then at that point of time it is difficult to sell it?

So more supply and less demand decreases the stock price and less supply and more demand increases the stock price

Do you know the names of the individuals of the company who actually adjust the price according to supply and demand? Like are they called the Market mediators or what

Good video. I think you could've expanded the example more. Showing the scenario in which new sellers arrive with the higher price.

I love this explanation. If you really look into this, you can see how a stock can be manipulated based on numbers. If an organization or a group of them can own the total volume of supply and demand, they can control the price and shake retail investors out of their positions.

So where does the money go? I know the seller gets the money from the buyer, but shouldn’t the company ABC gets the money? Or do they only get it one time when they issued the shares at a specific price in the first place? If so, then how would companies like Apple continuing to make money from their stocks since they don’t issue more shares and instead buying back shares?

A company with great fundamentals, how will its share price reflect if it's based on perception? Also a company with great revenue has an earning per share higher than its current price. EPS v market price? Does it matter if it's an otc v nasdaq? Thanks

Thanks.I had thought that share prices change because of fluctuations in current affairs-politics, or outbreak of coronavirus.

With this explanation, you can dump any stock to zero if you have enough shares to sell/ if offered shares exceed the supply, and you sell with a market order. Why does this not happen as a manipulative move more often? What are the preventive measures to avoid crashing any stock to zero at any point?
