I used to think every investor lose out during inflation, meanwhile, some make millions. I also thought everybody went out of business during the Great Depression, but some went into business. The bottom line, there's always depression for some and profit for others, it all starts with having the right mindset. My first two put options were DOCU and SQ. Did homework, picked strike at .25 Delta or bottom of Bollinger. Before expiration the stocks tanked got filled, now own stocks and doing covered calls but the value of the stock continues to drop and am losing more . Can’t make it up fast enough with covered calls. Should I dump the stock?

If you buy call options shortly before earnings, the IV is usually pretty high and options are expensive. Doesn't necessarily increase your chances for a profit.
