I absolutely agree with your categories. The books on your advanced category seem daunting to me as a seasoned fantasy reader. I’ve even put The Fifth Season down for a moment because I knew I needed more mental room to be able to absorb everything.

I want to try the one by Brandon Sanderson. I couldn't get into Mistborn but that stand alone book sounds good! You should do a video like this, with the categories, for space operas.

I've read The Broken Earth trilogy but may check out the book by Yoon Ha Lee as a standalone is nice sometimes.

But I am here to recommend Jade City up and down the list, new readers or experienced. Though, it is closer to modern than epic so . . . Maybe this comment shouldn't be here.
