Ringo's drumming is the most melodic of all the rock bands of that time. He wasn't flashy but very much a part of the Beatles music. Also contributed a sad charisma to their "look". I like the story that Harrison asked for more from Ringo. Starr never got in the way. He had a great sad voice too. Ginger was great, but too much at times.

People think it's so fun and interesting to go into music but a lot of times it's just plain hard work besides Ringo really wouldn't know anyway it's a lot easier to be a drummer than it is to be Lennon and McCartney and the producer George Martin The Beatles could have easily replaced George and Ringo with other people
