For some reason I've been playing this song over and over for the last 4dys, with no sign of stopping. Weaned on the Stones at the tender age of 12yrs, back when 12yo little girls were still little girls, they introduced me to Rock & Roll at it's finest. 62yrs later, with a plethora of favorite music gendras, the Stones are unique in their long music history with the variety of gendras they have since played. When it comes to good old-fashioned Rock & Roll they just can't be beat. The lyrics to this one mean nothing, it is all about the music and how they play it, the backbeat just gels with the main beat, matching the style of tight point-counterpoint that my body moves to music.

Through the years I've heard Mick and the boys singin "You can't always get what you wa-ant" many times, life gets that way and I am glad to have those who know that in my head in times of disappointment.

I bought Exile on Main Street tabs book. EVEN I, a 70 yr old with 6 months slide experience, used it to play M Taylor’s lead and solos on Stop Breaking Down, a favorite for almost 50 years. Took some work, but was so surprisingly doable. A slight tuning adjustment clearly shown. I’d say that anybody who plays or is thinking about playing and loves that song OUGHT TO JUST DO THIS.

Photos are fantastic! The music is marvelous! Crunch time from the Stones; this is almost my favorite Exile Song... with about eight others! Tremendous album, and Stop Breaking Down closes the entire two record sit, fittingly!~
