Probably one of the purest gigs ever. Muddy Waters and the Stones in the smallest of small clubs. Perfect.

Muddy Waters and the Rolling Stones are legends. But, the harmonica player is fantastic.

This jam session is from 1981 recorded in Chicago. Muddy Waters was 68 by this time, and had been playing the guitar since around 1928. He was born in 1913. Mick Jagger was only 38 at this time. Sadly, Muddy Waters died just two years after this collaboration. 🙏

Unreal. Muddy Waters call their name, and one by one The Rolling Stones jump to attention and come running. That’s power and respect.

The Stones NAMED themselves after a Muddy Waters tune. Absolutely incredible.

I love how Mick needed a bit of convincing to get on stage, but Keith instantly understood the once-in-a-century chance at this moment and was climbing right over the table to get to Muddy.

Muddy's face expression was gold. He was cool, neither impressed or upset, pro 100%

Whoever speak ill of the Rolling Sones cant see them for what they are and were, they seem to genuinely love blues, and this is some blues for legends.
