Checking out the new DW0100 Stud Finder from DeWalt

Not the most exciting video we've done, but this covers the basics on DeWalts newest stud finder. And to clarify, when I said it works on an angle I meant it will still tell you the centre of the stud even when held at an angle. It won't just detect the edge.

First time user here. The AC light goes on pretty much everywhere. It seems my home is made of wires. Finding the stud from both directions usually, but now always, gets you the same position. Not as accurate or easy to use as the video claims.

God damn how hard is it to make a decent stud finder, this one blows. My 4ft wide wall has anywhere from 1-6 studs, depending on each pass. Also it found a live wire that is 2ft wide apparently.

I found this product unusable, it would just beep constantly any time it was near me. Others had no problem and it worked fine.

This product only works accurately if the stud is right behind the drywall. Otherwise, you’ll have multiple holes in your walls.
