This is an excellent video because you really get to understand what d/ dx, dy/dx, d/dx(y) really mean. I think the very first time we are taught to take a derivative using the power rule we should be showing d/ dx (y) on the left side of the equation and after the derivative is taken the notation on the left side should be dy/dx. Then we learn that we are taking the derivative of y with respect to x which is dy/dx. The y’ notation is garbage and should not be taught when starting calculus, leibinitz got it right with his notation. When I took calculus I never understood this but because of these videos I do now. I hope I here from this great teacher.
