Had a park model camper on a lot in a campground up at lake James. The whole campground was destroyed. A friend got our golf carts for us but the camper, all the furniture, and the pontoon boat are completely ruined since they couldn’t be towed out in time. I went with my dad to assess the damage and there was two feet of thick mud and sewage on the gravel paths in the campground. Millions of dollars in damage. The entire place is ruined. So many people have had it way worse than me and lost their homes. Lake Lure and Chimney Rock look like a nuke was dropped on them. Lots of people trapped and lots dead. I never thought anything like this would happen in Appalachia. Truly a once in a century event.

Oh Lord, send these people some help. I have health issues and would just be a burden. But, Lord send some temporary housing and corporations please send cleaning supplies plus anything these people can use...
