As a resident, Thank you Fox 13 for reporting on the N Tampa community/USF area flooding. A lot of times there is more reporting focused on coastal areas and other areas like this tend to get neglected in the news cycle if impacted. Praying for us all.

This stretch of flooding is being very under reported, it stretches all the way to Fletcher Ave in some parts. Unprecedented flooding in this area.

Born and raised in Tampa Florida still live there to this day, Im at University mall all the time getting that Chinese food, I have NEVER seen anything like this before. Mother nature is sending warnings.

I can’t believe this! I go there all the time and to see this flooding is unbelievable. This is billions of dollars worth of damage. I hope everyone was safe there. Fox 13 TampaBay, you did a great job 👍👍 Everyone please be safe in going out in that dirty water, make sure you do not have cuts on your feet, legs, so as to not get infections.

So yeah, this would be Fowler ave, and the flooding looks like it goes from somewhere between 15th and 22nd, where the cars are parked on dry land, to 30th (Bruce B Downs), but a fair ways north and south of Fowler into the neighborhoods. Definitely a couple of feet, and, based on current (6 pm) news reports, the water doesn’t appear to have receded much. Many vulnerable folks living in this area. Very sad 🙁

Unfortunately, TGH at doesn’t mention the areas.

When drones are flying around like that they should try to add street signs or maybe exit sign from the roads. Even a building sign will help.

Still no drainage put in place, it's flooded badly in the past, but this is beyond that. All those restaurants built up but nothing to help infrastructure drainage. Smh

Doesn't say if this is salt water flooding or not but if it's salt water, vehicles exposed to it are often totaled.

Had no idea Fowler could ever flood like this. So many businesses like that Walgreens and Party City which have been there for decades might be totaled. I'm surprised the entire parking lot of University Mall didn't flood because some of the water had to have come from back there. Almost seems like the water was up in more areas on Fowler looking at the abandoned cars.

I feel for the poor small business owners. The cars, how many times do you have to be told don't drive through water. Don't by a local 2nd hand car.
