This drama is adapted from a Korean TV series of the same name. It tells the story of a young surgical resident, Shaun, who has savant syndrome (an exceptional ability in a particular area, often in arts or academia, that exceeds what is considered normal; approximately 10% of people with autism have this syndrome) joining a prestigious hospital, San Jose St. Bonaventure. This raises the question for everyone: can a doctor who cannot establish relationships with ordinary people really treat patients?

No they can't because (Sean) aka the good doctor is literally the main character and in the end he treated him and everyone were speechless.

"But the new director dislikes Shawn's autism"
What?😂
Edit: for everyone. I wasn't confused or anything. I've watched the show and I have autism myself so I know what's going on. I just found it weird and funny how the video said it.

Well that’s dumb if a patient is asking for specific doctor for something then they should have just brought him in cuz now the guy is probably gonna die ( I’ve never watched the show)

OK so after Dr browne uses that idea they start with the surgery. It was a close life or death experience and while they were cutting off a part of the tumor his heart rate and blood pressure was starting to increase. Then Shaun came up with an idea to flip him over and start cutting from the other side. Eventually his idea worked and the tumor was removed and out into a doctor main museum. Shaun asked Dr.Han (new director) to make him a surgical resident AGAIN as he was transferred to pathology due to his communication disability. Dr.Han denied and I think he got fired idk the rest :))

no matter how big those blood vessels are it can be done it's like saying you can't amputate a leg with modern medicine because they'll bleed out how the hell do we conduct heart surgery if they can't control blood flow

So Sean can’t do a surgery bc the director is discriminatory against ppl with disabilities?

I feel like In real life this wouldn't be an issue, right? The vessels going into and out of the heart are enormous and we can tie those off just fine

Edit: did a little research, the Aorta, the largest blood vessel in the body, has been ligated(tied off) before in the past
