In Ipsos polling exclusive to Global News, almost 80 per cent of Canadians say they are concerned inflation will make everyday things less affordable.

When it comes to rising costs, 24 per cent of Canadians say they are already out of money and cannot handle a rapid increase in household necessities.

Another 63 per cent of Canadians say they could handle increased costs by making minor or major changes of their own spending habits. And just 13 per cent say they can easily absorb an increase in costs.

“The people who are going to be really slapped around by what’s going on with inflation and rising cost of living are those very precarious members of the younger population who are trying to break into more stable jobs,” says Darrell Bricker, CEO of Ipsos Public Affairs.

My question is: Who's the 20% of Canadians who think that inflation means prices go down?

This is what happens when old retired rich Canadians keep voting for irresponsible Liberal money printing party. What we need is a financial reset. Conservative need to come in and shut down the printing machine and let the Canadian economy crash and reset. So us Millennials can live without massive life controlling debt. Enough is enough

This is what happens when a irresponsible P.M. unnecessarily prints money and gives it away to foreign countries.

And yet voters still chose the Liberals to govern Canada. Madness is repeating the same thing over again hoping for a different result!

Hard times create strong men,
strong men create easy times,
Easy times create weak men,
Weak men create hard times.
Guess which time we're going into...

Already is unaffordable. I realized today I've already paid $18, 000 to the government this year. I feel like I've gotten nothing but a headache and a empty bank account after paying that. Paycheck to paycheck is a understatement. Ready to find a illegal source of income.

As a millennial with a son. I consider moving to the US on the regular now. Canadian economy is trash. I make almost 150k a year and I feel like I am struggling. Between work and son, I have no life as we live in a dump apartment trying to save money for a house that we can never afford bc the housing goes up 30% a year now...lol its ridiculous

Raise interest rates and stop printing money. Inflation gonna be double of what it is now this time next year. Mark my words.

Finally someone has said it, our elder population is set and are well looked after. Now Help 20-35 year olds who want to start families! Boomers are retiring in the next 5 years. And there isnt enough of us to fill in the gaps. Give us some policies that will make our lives better!
Or make housing a human right in Canada that would ease so much stress.

I feel terrible for our northern neighbor. If you try explaining this to an average American. They'll think it's only happening in the U.S.A. and look to blame politics than think outside the box about others who are suffering. Stand strong Canada, you've been through allot after becoming a successful independent country that is loved. You got this. 🇨🇦💪

A little research would have revealed that the late 70's early 80's high inflation and high interest rates damaged Canada for decades.
trudeau senior was pm and "achieved" 23% interest rates and 14% inflation. Over spending is a family trait it appears....
