How to Get Started with a Farmers Market or Festival Business
1. Perform a Feasibility Study to look at rough profit and to make sure your niche is not already highly competitive
2. Get a local business license
3. Search your business name and register with the SEC ( I recommend as a LLC)
4. Get insurance. Just do it.
5. Get all of your local permits completed
6. Get set up to collect and pay sales tax in your municipality
7. Set up a Point of Sale System like Square to allow you to take card payments
These are the top steps that I recommend but there may be more depending on the state that you live in.
