The people who are saying nasty things about being disabled & scared of losing their disability payments have clearly never walked a mile in our shoes. Today it took me 9hours to have a shower, get dressed & go see my Doctor. In Australia it's almost impossible to get disability as u have to be written off as never able to be rehabilitated ever. If u try to work & then can't u are not rewarded for trying - u are banned from ever getting a payment from disability again & are put on a payment of $800 less per month until u reach 67years old. It is devastating to be deemed disabled & never able to be rehabilitated.

I’m disabled and when I called he told me to get a job. I tried to tell him I’m unemployable but he seems to think a traumatic brain injury is no big deal

Dave doesn't really have a good answer to help Low fixed regulated income people. Amazing. Not surprised. It's hard to understand unless you live it.

Yeah everyone acts hard and talk about disability till it happens to them

I love how he acts like meds and therapy are 100% effective for mental health 🙄

Depression isn't always 'cureable' with meds and therapy. Don't make such ignorant suggestions unless you have a medical degree.

I am a disabled veteran. I was recently determined to be permanent and total. I have two degrees but no one will hire me because of my disabilities. I don’t want to go on SSDI but so far that seems my only chance to continue providing for my family.

I have ms and now am 53 years old. My job was outsourced to India. I sm now working in fast food industry. I cry on my way home every night due to the pain. My limited arm motion and every other ms problem but because i drag myself to work i must not need disability. If i do nit have any income for 5 months i might be aporoved. I will be living on the street and have nothing but maybe a disability check.

I'm so glad to finally have someone bring this up! I'm on disability and my health has gotten worse every year! I've thought about calling in to the show, since I started watching about 3 months ago! I live on $580.00 a month! But I have over $12, 000 in debt! It's very hard to budget everything and try to get a little ahead! There's no way I could get off disability, so I pray something will happen to were I can get some of this debt taken care of! I've learned one thing so far and that is to say" no", to family and friends who want to borrow money from me! I've always been the person to help everyone or give my last bit of food to someone else! I haven't become greedy at all, just that I need to take care of myself first!

I find Ramsey fans to be abhorrently cruel. I don’t understand the nastiest comments for those who are struggling in his fan club.

It's none of Davs business what her disability is. The fact is she can't get off disability. That's her answer.

The arrogance and lack of understanding is disappointing. 😢

Dave's advice is great...for the able bodied. He has no understanding of the various disabilities and how they make people unemployable.
Many people who are disabled, look upon those in wheelchairs with almost a bit of envy. Because no one thinks that they are "faking" or exaggerating. and the companies make adjustments for them. However there are thousands of disabilities that are legally discriminated against still. And to be honest many of them would put too much of a burden upon employers to hire.

Sorry, I lost respect for Dave on this one. Don't question the person's disability. That case has been settled. How about helping the person make the best of the cards dealt to them.

No one can live off of 800-1000 a month which is about the max most receive.

It's incredibly cruel for people on disability to not be able to have much money in their accounts, there's too much that can go wrong in this world where you need money, and not to have much saved for those occasions is terrible,
I don't think a person on disability would be able to do certain things, (like work a full time job, 40 hours a week) but I also think there shouldn't be a limit on how much you can earn and still retain disability benefits, especially when after full retirement age you're allowed to make more,

Just guessing the lady wants to keep her disability in order to keep her insurance!

I am about to have a nervous breakdown over this topic. I am living on a small disability check.. have had five spinal surgeries.. I can’t afford to lose my insurance but I need to attempt to work part time.. my husband is on fixed income too.. we have borrowed money for medical trips to Texas and medical bills.. unsure what to do anymore.. have more money going out than coming in.. have a car note cause need the car for medical trips to Texas ( I am in Mississippi spine surgeon is in Texas)
