What I think I'm doing: Hitting those extremely hard high notes.
What I'm actually doing: Voice cracking a lot, off beat, hitting the wrong notes, pitch is going all over the place.

3.Listen to how trashy it sounds.
4. Laugh at myself.
5.Then cry.

First time I heard my voice on a recording, I thought ‘Is that really me?’ It made me cringe. I’ve gotten used to it over the years. Sometimes I record myself on purpose to hear how I sound when explaining things.

2. How you look like in the mirror is not how people really see you.
