Glad to see so many people trying to improve their singing during quarantine in 2020 😂

I'm learning this for my first audition, I get nervous easily and this vid actually helped. The audiences (shampoo bottles) really loved it

All my life as a singer, from alto to soprano, NO ONE... taught me this.

All I always hear was of "breathing control" and "opening my mouth more". Not one person in my entire life has ever told me about this specific detail.

Yawning, yes. Opening my mouth, yes. But this!

THIS WAS THE MAIN DETAIL I NEVER KNEW OF!

23 years of singing. I watch this video. I can pull off singing high and low without worrying of scratches at the throat, or forcing more air pushes from my stomach.

I'm ready for the solo this Saturday. God bless this video 😭🙏❤

11 YEARS OF PAIN WHILE SINGING!!! I’m AMAZED that in less than 5 minutes I’m singing without pain and pushing my vocals up 2-3 semitones! Never seen you before but after a lesson with my vocal coach about the soft palette being too tight while singing you are my first search on YouTube. I immediately tried calling everybody I know to share the accomplishment but no response so a comment will do. I’m subscribing immediately!!

Love your way of explaining. I heard so many times from singing teachers :
" Open your throat. " I was so frustrated with that sentence cause it was never properly explained to me HOW to actually do it. And it never came to my mind to stick a finger in my throath.
Well, now I did.... I felt my soft palate, figured out what is the best position for it and my voice was instantly better.
Thank you

Thank you for this video! I’m a songwriter and now working on my own music. And discovered my “true” tone when I raised my soft palate just experimenting. Realized it was extremely hitting notes I struggled with. This explained everything I needed!

Thanks for showing a little science behind this, I've been struggling with resonance because people just tell me to "imagine" putting my voice in places, but this video is very practical, at least for controlling the soft palate first ❤

Excellent lesson! I didn't even know what a "soft palate" is, but I'm ONLY 69-years-old, tryin' to sing since I was about 4. I'm excited to have a subject with which I can experiment. Thanks for posting!
