Let's compare two different filaments from the same manufacturer: Hi Speed PLA+ vs PETG by JamgHe. Let's check the printability and the mechanical properties.
All test objects are printed on Creality K1 on 300 mm/s (for PLA+) and 200 mm/s for PETG. AMS Riser from PETG was printed on Qidi X-Max3 on 300 mm/s speed.

👍👍Thanks for the professional tests, it was Suprise that regular petg runs well on K1, for K1 with hi-speed pla+, if you use default setting, try at 200 degree, the surface will be great.

Thanks for the video. I have tried quite a few different filaments and recently ordered a roll of jamghe HS pla to try out. We will see how it prints and how it compares to other brands like the sunlu meta pla etc

Hi Igor,
Thanks again for all your work on the filaments, it is appreciated.
Another test which I would find useful, especially on the TPU, ASA, and PETG materials would be abrasion resistance.

Good tests (as always) The Jamghe high speed PLA+ looks like it might be a good option, as it’s much more affordable on Amazon than the name brand PLA+ formulations. People on Amazon did complain about mild stringing though, which you also seemed to experience. I wonder, did you dry it before using? Some others on Amazon found the filament to be rather wet out of the box.

Once VAT and import duties are applied the price doesn't seem that different from other filament I can get. For the Xmas holidays Sunlu had an offer of around €11/kg (+VAT) for PETG (at 6 spools), shipped from within the EU (so no annoying import costs - or risk thereof). Now, that was a nice deal.

Creality seem to have a problem with tuning their stepper drivers in Klipper to remove VFA (not ghosting)

The Pla + hardened during temperature test. I wonder if its a good formula for annealing? Might be worth a test versus standard pla and HT- Pla.

Do you find yourself preferring to use the Bambu or the QiDi more on a daily basis? Or do you have no preference?
