The Moment That Changed Assassin's Creed Forever...
#gaming #assassinscreed

Assassin's Creed stands as an expansive gaming franchise in the realms of open-world, action-adventure, and stealth genres. Ubisoft, the publisher, primarily entrusts the development to its studio, Ubisoft Montreal, utilizing the Anvil game engine and its more advanced iterations. Conceived by Patrice Désilets, Jade Raymond, and Corey May, the video game series explores a fictional, age-old conflict between the Order of Assassins advocating for peace and free will, and the Knights Templar seeking peace through order and control. The narrative weaves together historical fiction, science fiction, and fictional characters, intricately entwined with genuine historical events and figures. Throughout most games, players navigate the storyline by assuming the role of a historical Assassin, concurrently experiencing the perspective of an Assassin Initiate or a character entangled in the present-day Assassin–Templar conflict. Recognized as a spiritual successor to the Prince of Persia series, Assassin's Creed drew inspiration from Vladimir Bartol's novel "Alamut," which, in turn, is rooted in the historical Hashashin sect of the medieval Middle East.

When Was The *DOWNFALL* Of Assassin's Creed?

I hate to say it because it was a good game but origins took the franchise into that direction.

They all have their own charm tbh. Present day went with Desmond. Story wise it depends on your taste. Gameplay also depends on taste.

Unpopular opinion :Origins begun the down fall as it brought the RPG game style which Ubisoft just kept making and forgot the original roots of ac games

From Ac 1 to Ac 3 was a good storyline. From black flag the story went another direction which was complete chaos...

I think it started during syndicate but it really got hit hard during odyssey or origin’s odyssey is a great game it’s just the fact that it’s an assassins creed game that people don’t like

My favorite is black flag, but it started a downfall, all that exploration pushed ac into rpg genre, it took what ac 3 was about to me and transformed it into rpg, followed by rogue, then it kinda stoped at unity and syndicate, but it set the root for origins, odyssey and valhalla.

I don't think there was any downfall. Unisoft just want to make games of different styles and types instead of same types of stealth games. Some people may like the older games while some like the newer ones, doesn't really matter

I personally believe the downfall was Ac Unity’s horribly launch. Like Ac1-4 was solid and no one really complained and then Unity came out and the bugs happened and then there was a patch literally the size of the game to fix everything. And then it was like clockwork people started calling the franchise stale and the same thing over and over again and called for a format change. So they release Syndicate cause they weren’t gonna scrap the game they were working on. Took a year off, released Origins and it changed the perspective people had on the franchise. Origins worked cause it wasn’t a full RPG, there was no different endings, romance options etc it was the perfect middle point between old AC and RPG AC and then Odyseey and Valhalla came out and people whined saying that RPG isn’t the AC they know and love (even though they asked for a format change and said that old AC was stale but whatever) so then they comprised. Traditional AC and RPG AC, was mirage successful? Enh! But let’s hope shadows turns out good and we’ll see with Code: Hexe

Wow didn’t realize I wrote so much. TLDR Unity’s rocky launch started the downfall, Origins picked the franchise back up, Odyseey and Valhalla brought it back down, Mirage, Shadows and Hexe show a hopeful and successful future

Killing Desmond off. People didn’t like present day but I always thought it was leading up to a free roam present game day as Desmond. Especially with the introduction of firearms. I really wanted to climb skyscrapers and etc

syndicate was the last assassins-feeling game so id say anywhere after syndicate was a downfall

The bigger downfall was at unity and syndicate before the fixes, then AC got redeemed again after origins

It started going down when it became a rpg and lost the whole assassin's vs templar.

Dude spoke 100% facts this whole video! in my opinion it was Black Flag because that's when we started getting more gimmick games, so if it wasn't for Black Flag then no one would complain Odyssey or Valhalla. I have come to appreciate Black Flag especially since I like Matt Ryan but I remember when it first came out I was not impressed because at the time everybody was obsessed with pirates just like when Valhalla came out everybody was obsessed with Vikings. Them going into the gimmicks is definitely something the storyline that disappointed me. I still love the games though and I'm a giant fan.

Odyssey Broke the fan base in such a way I've never seen.

Unity, despite its bugs, was awesome. It had everything you wanted. A relatively small map with fast travel points everywhere. Epic stealth kills. Kill combos. Assassins feeling. A box loot animation 😂 (the lock picking was annoying). A handful of multiplayer quests. All elements the later titles missed.

Assassin's never really had a downfall. People just gotten ungrateful and mean. Ac 3 was criticized because it wasn't about Ezio, and it was the same people that said Ezio is becoming repetitive
