Alliance, Assemble! | Norland - Part 2 (Crusader Kings Meets Rimworld - Early Access)

Norland continues and King Bernard begins to form his new alliance. Granted it might take a while to get a lot of other realms on board but we have to start with one and that's what he gets sorted!

It takes a little while and we're helped by enlisting a new fighter to our army to make sure that our army is stronger than our proposed ally. It also helps that the other realm get into a bit of a fight so their warriors might be a bit dead...

Back in CupboardVale we enjoy some exciting times reading books! Yay for learning! We learn some new things, plus we build a tavern where people can have a nice drink and also we upgrade the brewery so it can work more effectively.

Also Bernard continues to charm people, the treasury is looking a bit empty and Jeff looks for love...

The Empire has fallen, leaving in its place multiple successor kingdoms. With different backgrounds, needs, and thoughts of their own, the peasants are difficult to please and easily manipulated into rebellion, crime, and controversy – will you address their complaints as a benevolent lord or answer them with the executioner’s ax?

Norland is set in a rich world with a vibrant past – its inhabitants form a tapestry of different cultural backgrounds with checkered relations, and the power vacuum left in the wake of the Empire’s collapse has given rise to uncertain times. In the distance, an Unholy Horde grows ever stronger, pillaging and burning all in its path, while elsewhere the Church of Saint Sophia uses faith to maintain an iron grip on vast resources.

Through a multitude of scenarios to choose from and a plethora of options that define your nobles and the world around you, Norland allows you to build a society and tell a unique story of any kind – warmongers with penal legions fighting for their freedom, highly educated religious zealots trying to spread the faith, wealthy multicultural idealists hoarding tomes of knowledge, treacherous spymasters plotting assassination and intrigue… what tale will you tell?

I think the lack of crown for Queen Betty is due to the fact the bandits stole it and when one of them escaped after the fight, they took it with them. Thats the canon in my head anyway 😂

Loving the episodes of Norland so far, thank you for making these! Just to let you know, you aren’t in an alliance with Misthaven as they’ve denied it and wants to make an alliance under their leadership instead!

Hey penge! Just so you don't waste your time like I did with the mechanic: when you send Safa out to improve relationships with other kingdom's remember to send her with "the envoy's visit", if you hit "spend time with" it won't improve relations between your kings like you want

Also, I have nearly 80 people in my kingdom now and peasant houses are just too expensive to consider early game. I have everyone in dormitories still, you will have a lot of migrants regardless as long as you feed your peasants flour and beer to make them happier.

Be careful feeding them rutabagas as they can get sick and die. I leave it for moonshine and pig feed now

The value is the total value of equipment, man power and skill.

Have Jeff and Safa write a lot of letters asking for the heir to Moonrealm, then you just wait and one of your lords will inherit the throne.

The money shown at a army is the worth of they equippment.
After all, 10 dudes in heavy armor with spears are much more dangerous then 20 dudes with knifes.
