CORRECTION: That's a map of Africa divided by ethnicities only. There are over 3, 000 languages spoken in Africa. Nigeria alone has over 500 languages.
*If the human family is a tree, then African's make up 96% percent of the tree. All non-sub-Saharan Africans represent less than 4% of the total human genetic diversity. If a French man, a Papua New Guinean tribes man, and an Amazonian tribes man are siblings then a sub-Saharan African man is like their second cousin once removed. And there are dozens of sub-Saharan African ethnic groups that are that or more genetically distinct from one another. Meaning they have been separated from each other since before non-Africans left Africa. The highest genetic diversity is found in the Nigeria-Cameroon border region, both countries combined have about 800 languages. The further out from this region you go the lower the genetic and Linguistic diversity*
Yet many uninformed people seem to be very upset or doubtful that Sub-Saharan Africans would have so many languages. They may all look and sound alike to you but that doesn't justify diminishing their measurable genetic, linguistic and cultural diversity.

It was a cooperation between French and Belgian grid operators so the location kinda makes sense. It's situated in a remote valley far away from population centers right by a huge river, perfect location.

Before anyone gets any ideas, there's not enough water in the western US to support Eastern population density. In some places, the existing population is over taxing the water table. We don't actually have a ton of room.
