Getting rid of the sfp+ ports kind of kills this version for a lot of homelabbers, that's what made the MS-01 unique.

Maybe this is what people want but the reason the MS01 was popular was due to pcie slot and 10Gb sfp+ ports built in for a mini server. And with an Intel 12600H it's only $419.

I love this. Mini pc with oculink port. If we ain’t have enough money, we can buy and build this first, then we can get egpu later. With oculink, this is powerful and fast which is better than USB4

So glad you were able to get your hands on this PC. I was very skeptical in the adverts of this regarding the FOUR PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots mainly because their BD790i model only has two which was a big let down for me. Thank you for reviewing this.

This is mental who’s buying this. The MS-01 made it’s name for the built in PCIe slot along for other stuff and yet it was cheaper

so everything i liked in the ms-O1 has been removed
there is no 10Gbit (calling it a workstation..) and also no pcie (altho oculink can be used for that kinda)

I don’t know how anyone else feels about this. But I feel the whole point of an igpu is to not ever have the need for a dedicated gpu. I think external gpu takes away that portability. If I wanted a dedicated gpu I just build a regular pc.

I don't know if anyone is like me about this, but my lord man. This PC is rounding out at about $1000. I started doing PC gaming with a steam deck and can't believe you can go get a game console (PS5 or Series x) that has no problem running modern games for less than half of the price. PC gaming will never be widely adopted with the pricing structure for performance. My opinion.

Only if this could fit the low profile 4060, it would be an instant buy for me. And a 10 gigabit ethernet port would be a cherry on top.
