In this video I show you how to get started with the Arduino R4 Wifi. I am designing this class for absolute beginners. My assumption is that you will work hard and pay attention, but I do not assume you are already an expert. In this lesson you will write your first few programs.

Mr. McWhorter is the person you should follow if you want to learn Arduino. 4 years ago I knew nothing about Arduino IDE and today I have several CNC machines and things controlled by Microcontrollers that wouldn't exist today if I had not watched his Arduino for Beginner Videos years ago. I have an R4 WiFi on order. I am glad Paul will be doing a series on the new board. I've been through most of the Uno R3 series & built some of the projects. An Arduino board like the R4 but with more IO would be great for more complex projects (like the Mega).

I have never use a arduino till yesterday when my son gave me one to play with. I was extremely overwhelmed about everything regarding the arduino. I watched lots of videos but still was overwhelmed. Hey Paul McWhorter, I'm a 2nd year computer engineering student and I recently finished the 68 episode arduino series and I want to let you know that I really enjoyed it. I learned a lot from the series and I am now looking to build a sumobot with a group of friends for a competition hosted by my school. I am super thankful of your arduino lessons and will continue to build new projects. I've recently been looking to do AVR programming on Arduino but problem is that I couldn't find a single guide that provides good lessons. Also, it would be nice if you could start doing guides on an STM32 microcontroller because I believe that they are super cool and are heavily used in various industries. While it is cool seeing you doing arduino guides with beginners, I hope that you consider my request and do a guide on AVR programming and STM32 as that would help out intermediates/advanced people.

I'm about 10 videos into the full series and they're great so far. I plan to watch all of them as I'm brand new to arduino. One question: will this series give me everything I need to get the certification Arduino offers or will I need further studies? Thanks for the great series!

Firstly thanks for this great video. It is well put together. One thing I would like to add to this for other users is: If you save a sketch, but there is a spelling error or you miss a ';' semi-colon but do not re-save it but try and run it, you will get the same error again. You need to upload the updated script again to make the changes live. Now looking forward to carrying on your other tutorials. The aim is to lear to control multiple servos (12 in total) that form the hip and leg of a four legged service drone I have designed in Fusion 360. To get to this I need to learn how to master basic coding and working the Arduino Uno R4 and using the onboard wi-fi/bluetooth connection.
