This is the first lesson of the Arduino UNO R4 Minima Ultimate Training Series. In this video, Joed Goh introduces all the components (sensors, displays, IoT modules, and actuators) that will be used throughout the course. Furthermore, he discusses the features of the new Arduino UNO R4 versions and how they differ from the previous version (UNO Rev3). He also shows how to install and set up the Arduino IDE. Finally, he illustrates how to upload a simple blinking LED to the Arduino UNO R4 Minima.

I really like your presentation style.

installing sketch on Linux was a bit more complicated for me, but easily doable. Biggest issue I came across was read/write permission for the usb port so that sketch could upload to R3. A quick google search solved that.

Hi, need help. When I’m connecting my R4 Wi-Fi to my laptop, power and L Led are lighting up but windows is not detecting board and not assigned any com port. I’m using latest IDE and installed R4 board in it. What to do?

Hi! I’m curious about limitations of the R4, compared to R3. Saw a comparison video mentioning “current driving capability” and saying that “the maximum current limit per gpio pin on the R4 is 8mA, which is 2.5 times less than R3” and further explaining that this means that “the same sensors, actuators and modules being used with uno for years, are no longer compatible with R4”… so now, as a noob, I’m wondering: 1. Does the 8mA limit mean we are unable to drive applications, that would be possible with other Arduino boards? I guess I will not be able to use sensors and stuff that might require more than 8mA? And 2. When we buy a sensor, do we need to check for “what arduino board it is compatible with”? And is that information available anywhere you might buy a sensor from? This sounds so complicated to me, as someone that just started to look into Arduino for future tinkering…

Hello po, May I ask if the arduino uno r4 minima can be used for Analog sensor such as Gravity Analog ph sensor and DFRobot Analog dissolved oxygen sensor? I'm actually considering using r4 instead of r3. For more precision and speed. I'm still researching if r4 supports sensors with boards designed for r3 also supports r4. Specifically if it also supports using the said sensors, I'm concerned on the software compatibility. Thank you in advance!
